Edible Eastbrook is here to experiment with different approaches to land management and attempt to find approaches that will:
- re-use and re-cycle as many of the on farm resources as possible;
- use low-tech solutions that require minimal machinery and fossil fuels;
- reveal how much perennial food can be grown in a given area of land;
- involve as many people as possible – as volunteers and as paid staff;
- build soils – capturing as much carbon as possible whilst boosting the soil food web; and
- conform to the organic certification standard.
As far as possible we will outline our approaches, record our findings and share data on this site.
